Both companies are among the key drivers in shaping country’s clean energy future by strategic policies and expansion, helping India reach its 500 GW renewable energy capacity target by 2030. Both Waaree Energies and ACME Solar Holdings saw share price gains today after their new order wins. Let’s take a look at both company’s performance and key financials.

Waaree Energies Shares up by 8%
Today, share of Waaree Energies jumped to 8.52% and reached an intraday high of Rs. 3,445.45 on the NSE. The stock then settled on Rs. 3,295/ share, showing an increment of 3.79% from its previous day closing price.
Waaree Energies’ subsidiary, Waaree Forever Energies Pvt Ltd recently a Letter of Award (LoA) from Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Ltd. The company will develop a 170 MW solar power plant in Madhya Pradesh.
The new solar power plant will use the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) for better clean energy transmission and will supply renewable energy to Indian Railways and Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Ltd (MPPMCL).
ACME Solar’s Shares Surged
ACME Solar Holdings’ shares rose up to 4.4% during the trading hours today. The company’s shares hit an intraday high of Rs. 279.95 and closed at Rs. 270.40, showing an increment of 0.84%. The company recently bagged a 250 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project at a tariff of Rs. 4.56 per unit project in the NHPC auction. The project can also be expanded to 500 MW.
After bagging new project, ACME Solar’s total capacity is at 6,970 MW. The company also holds long-term power supply agreement with NHPC that has increased from 680 MW to 930 MW. This project is also expected to convert this to a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) soon. ACME has a timeline of PPA finalization in early FY26 and have to complete this project by FY27-28 by achieving a Commercial Operation Date (COD).
